"BRICS is an indicator of growing demand for a more balanced and inclusive world in which no center of power has the right to determine the fate of others. Economic sustainability is impossible without security, BRICS must play a more effective role in protecting national sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as in prohibiting the use of force," Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said at the BRICS summit.
"Countries of the Global South need to … reform and improve the international financial architecture," Xi said.
"China proposes to build a BRICS partnership in special economic zones, launch a smart portal, and coordinate relevant policies," Xi said.
"It is necessary to jointly advance security governance and collectively counter both traditional and non-traditional security threats," Xi Jinping said.
"We should not be limited to just BRICS. We must make the benefits and solutions adaptable and accessible in line with the needs of the Global South," he said.
"Weaponisation of technology and critical minerals can impede our shared progress," he said during his opening speech of the summit.
"I believe we need to ensure continuity in BRICS' work," Modi said.
